Good news, everyone! We’re buying our first home. It’s been a long time coming. We first started looking for our first home about two years ago. It was right after we got engaged but before we got married. In that time, we saw a ton of homes. Most were crappy. Many were expensive and crappy; a real killer combination. Disney+ is the latest streaming offering from one of the largest publishers of content in the world. During Disney’s 2019 investor day, Disney announced a November 12 launch date for their new product. Priced attractively at 6.99/month or 69.99/year, Disney+ is yet another service trying to take a cut of the big streaming pie. I’m Getting That Nielsen Survey Money
It arrived in an envelope. The crispest one dollar bill I’ve ever seen. It was a letter from the Nielsen people, the ones of television ratings fame. They wanted me to fill out a Nielsen survey. I was one of chosen ones. They said, “here’s a dollar, a brand new one, just for you, just for opening this letter.” I showed my wife, marveled at that crisp new dollar. I thought about framing it, that first Nielsen dollar, looking fresh from the treasury. That thought lasted a brief second before my wife took it, folded it and put it in her wallet.
